On Some Properties of Extensions of Commutative Unital Rings

چکیده
Throughout the text, let R be a commutative ring with identity (often called a commutative unital ring) and with multiplicative group of units R∗. Likewise, let f(x) = a0x +a1x n−1+ · · ·+an−1x+an be a polynomial of the variable x over R such that a0 ∈ R∗. Traditionally, R[x] is the ring of all polynomials of x over R; thereby f(x) ∈ R[x]. For an arbitrary but fixed element α, suppose f(x) is the minimal polynomial in R[x] for which f(α) = 0, i. e. α is a root of f(x). Such an f(x) will be hereafter denoted by fα(x). Define R[α] = { r0 + r1α+ · · ·+ rn−1α| ri ∈ R, 0 6 i 6 n− 1 } .

On Splitting of Extensions of Rings and Topological Rings
Several results on splitting of extensions of Banach algebras are generalized to the case of (not necessarily commutative, not necessarily unital) rings or topological rings. Detailed proofs of the results are provided.
متن کاملSome Properties of the Nil-Graphs of Ideals of Commutative Rings
Let R be a commutative ring with identity and Nil(R) be the set of nilpotent elements of R. The nil-graph of ideals of R is defined as the graph AG_N(R) whose vertex set is {I:(0)and there exists a non-trivial ideal such that and two distinct vertices and are adjacent if and only if . Here, we study conditions under which is complete or bipartite. Also, the independence number of is deter...
متن کاملInert Module Extensions, Multiplicatively Closed Subsets Conserving Cyclic Submodules and Factorization in Modules
Introduction Suppose that is a commutative ring with identity, is a unitary -module and is a multiplicatively closed subset of . Factorization theory in commutative rings, which has a long history, still gets the attention of many researchers. Although at first, the focus of this theory was factorization properties of elements in integral domains, in the late nineties the theory was gener...
متن کاملExtensions of strongly alpha-reversible rings
We introduce the notion ofstrongly $alpha$-reversible rings which is a strong version of$alpha$-reversible rings, and investigate its properties. We firstgive an example to show that strongly reversible rings need not bestrongly $alpha$-reversible. We next argue about the strong$alpha$-reversibility of some kinds of extensions. A number ofproperties of this version are established. It is shown ...
متن کاملSome results on the complement of a new graph associated to a commutative ring
The rings considered in this article are commutative with identity which are not fields. Let R be a ring. A. Alilou, J. Amjadi and Sheikholeslami introduced and investigated a graph whose vertex set is the set of all nontrivial ideals of R and distinct vertices I, J are joined by an edge in this graph if and only if either ann(I)J = (0) or ann(J)I = (0). They called this graph as a new graph as...
